Finalist Best Experimental Film, IPAF 2013 ATOM Awards

A film by Angie Black
An experimential dance film exploring emotional responses of native animals engulfed by smoke, disoriented and confused, who survive the carnage of bushfire.

disnature was one of the ten artistic video projects produced for the environmental collaborative art project Nature in the Dark. Ten artists were invited to respond to research that explores the effects of fire on native animals using the still images captured from the Wombat State Forest and Bunyip State Park.

Working from the same photographic material the Victorian National Parks Association (VNPA) gathered for the Caught On Camera project, the artists were asked to produce video works.

Produced by Black Eye Films in association with The Centre for Creative Arts and the Victorian National Parks Association.
